Aberdeenshire Sports Council are delighted to announce that they are hosting their annual Sports Awards Evening on Friday 17th March at The Venue, Garioch Sports Trust, Inverurie. The evening is a way of rewarding and acknowledging local sports people for their commitment to and/or achievement in sport.

There are 10 award categories this year, so please take a few minutes to complete the online form and nominate your favourite person/club/team. The closing date is Friday 17th February 2017.

The categories are:

• Sports Person of the year (aged 18 or over)
• Young Male Sports Person of the Year (U18 at 1/1/16)
• Young Female Sports Person of the Year (U18 at 1/1/16)
• Seniors Award (60+ at 01/01/16 and onwards)
• Coach of the year Award
• Team of the year Award (Performance)
• Club of the year Award (Development)
• Service to Sport Award (Please note that previous winners of this award are not eligible for Nomination)
• Rising Star Award
• Disability Sport Award
