2.  Minutes of last meeting

3.  Matters arising from last minutes.

  • 50mph sign at Kinneff still dammaged. Mark Skilling is aware.
  • Road lighting budget  has now been spent, so there are no funds for street lighting at Roadside fo Catterline. Roadside of Catterline will be added to the list in the event any more money becomes available. In the meantime, a light for the bus stop has been offered. We will write to encourage this.

4.  Financial matters

£300 available for the project grant. Proiject grant to be publicised in the Mearns Leader, web site and notice boards. Applications in writing to any councillor

  • Cllr J Carr informed the meeting that work appears to have restarted on West Mains of Barras, and the dormer windows have been removed.
  • Building has started at Mill of Uras.
  • Despite neighbour notifications going out for proposed new housing behind Trelong Row, Catterline, there are no plans currently lodged with the council. It was noted that any development would be contrary to the local plan. Cllr Watt reported that he had spoken to people in the village about the proposal and found very strong opposition to there being any new housing in the village.

6. Dunnottar Woods.

The leaflet “A walk through Dunnottar Woods” has been reprinted. A new leaflet, sutiable for children, is being produced.

7. Roads

  • It was noted that the roads in the area are in a poor state of repair. Potholes were noted at Harvieston and Glasslaw Bridge. A letter will be written to the council regarding this.
  • Cllr Swap has written a letter requesting a deceleration lane on the A90 at the Glasslaw turning.

9.   AOCB

  • Cabinet at north end of Raodside of Catterline layby has “fallen over” and the phone box has been vandalised.
  • Cllr J Carr higlighted the upcoming AGM (March) and emphasised the need to find three new office bearers.
